This role is responsible for the development of the Travel Retail (TR) business across ANZ and Oceania (Fiji, Vanuatu and Tahiti). The incumbent will be involved in strategic decision making across the TR business and will contribute to creating the conditions of a healthy network of counters to enhance the brand’s long term image, equity and profitability while maintaining and reinforcing brand leadership.
What Will You Do?
Build the TR strategy as a part of the larger omni-channel strategy with a focus on client experience, operational excellence, team development and partnering with counters to achieve profitability ;
Develop all aspects of the business (sales, market share, clienteling, inventory, financial budgets, forecasts, revenue and profit plan) at an individual counter level. This involves presenting marketing strategies seasonally to TR store management and active partnership and negotiation with each local retailer to execute defined strategies to drive sales and growth;
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders including regional team and TR partners ;
Animate monthly TR business review for required stakeholders and report on key KPI metrics such as sales, traffic, client satisfaction, inventory, CRM activities and capture rates
Develop and lead Beauty Advisors in all TR locations to drive a high performance culture whilst reinforcing a customer-centric mindset;
Develop and evolve policies and procedures relating to store operations with a focus on driving ongoing improvements around inventory management, expenses, order practices, priorities and delivery timing.
What Are We Looking For?
Tertiary qualification in Business / Marketing or a related discipline;
At least 10 years of related experience with a thorough knowledge of the travel retail and cosmetics industry;
Possess the mindset, confidence and capabilities to negotiate, influence and work with multiple TR operators;
Commercially astute with strong numerical and analytical skills;
P roven ability to manage and lead team success;
Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to travel frequently to the accounts in the region.
