About the team
The Safety, Environment and Regulation (SER) division leads policy, strategy, standards, advice and support across safety, environment, sustainability, asset management and regulatory outcomes for customers, community and our people (including contractors). SER provides ‘centres of excellence’ with a critical mass of expertise to support line accountability, facilitate consistency and provide assurance across the transport. It also delivers a range of regulatory programs.
The Asset Management centre of excellence leads and enables transport service outcomes for customers and communities through effective whole of life asset management to ensure the safe, effective and efficient movement of people and goods across our network.
You will be managing and developing changes to engineering standards relating to telecommunication systems assets across the TfNSW cluster: including specialist technical advice and technical application including the development of standards documentation, advising on research, asset management practices and assurance processes relating to assets.
What you will be involved in
You will provide technical input and provide asset management advice on the management of multi-modal technical standards (including concessions and non-conformances against compliance requirements) to enable the safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of assets. Monitoring and assessing risk implications of any changes to standards, technologies, practices or deviations you will add insight to proposals and business cases for submission and approval to ensure the integrity of the Transport network is maintained. Externally you will be collaborating with stakeholders and peak body industries, delivery partners to ensure at all times a best for Transport approach.
An engineer with demonstrated expertise in Telecom Systems, you will have an in-depth understanding of the codes of practice, standards, regulatory legislation to the operations, design, and maintenance for Telecom Systems. you will be consultative in your approach when delivering technical advice and direction to various stakeholders within Transport or to our external partners. The ability to perform advanced investigations and present findings with in-depth analusis will play a key part to deliver the best results for our customers.

Salary and Benefits
This is a Professional Engineers Grade C between $135,898 – $152,204 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
