About the role

As Associate Director, Divisional Communications, you will be responsible for leading the team of Communications Leads supporting the academic divisions and stewarding the delivery of integrated communications and stakeholder engagement plans, and marketing programs designed to meet the division’s strategic objectives and strengthen the university’s reputation.

Reporting to the Director, you will provide senior, specialist strategic communications and stakeholder engagement advice and operational leadership to drive localised and interdisciplinary divisional objectives and support the design and implementation of new ways of working to ensure consistently high standards of C&M service delivery.

You will take a lead role in influencing widely across a diverse stakeholder group across the University Communications & Marketing team, will deputise for the Strategic Communications directorate when required and be representative on leadership forums in the areas they partner with, working on medium to longer-term objectives.

Please note, this is a fixed-term opportunity, available for 9 months.

About you

You will have:

  • Extensive work experience within relevant marketing and communications field (preferably within higher education sector) and post graduate qualification in relevant discipline.
  • Outstanding experience developing and implementing constituent strategies, frameworks and insights
  • Demonstrated deep functional expertise in leadership and management of complex, strategic and governance functions within a large and complex organisation.
  • Significant experience in complex decision making requiring high levels of expertise and judgement
  • Proven ability to build, establish and maintain collaborative relationships and manage multiple stakeholders.
